「Bather」

Marcello Mascherini (1906-1983)

Although the framework of this piece is composed of such basic solids as cylinder, cone and sphere, it has an extremely concrete impression thanks to Mascherini's romantic character to stick to details. Slim and long legs, arms suggested by the moving lines of the cloth, ample breasts and the lovely face-this sculpture portrays the refreshing figure of the girl who has just come out of water after bathing.
